These terms explain how we work together when you use our services, visit our website, or buy our standard, modified, and specialized shipping containers. By placing an order or working with us, you agree to these guidelines.
1. Quotes and Ordering
- Currency: All our prices are listed and payable in South African Rands (ZAR).
- Quote Validity: Prices are locked in for the period shown on your official quote. Because steel prices and currency exchange rates shift, we may need to adjust pricing before your order is officially confirmed.
- Keeping Things Safe: To protect everyone from fraud, we reserve the right to cancel orders that look suspicious. We might ask for quick identity or business verification before processing your order.
- Warranties: We act as an authorized retailer. While we handle the sale and look after you, the physical hardware of the containers is covered by the manufacturer’s official warranty.
2. Payments and Ownership
- How to Pay: We accept secure Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) and payments through our verified secure online gateways.
- Invoicing: To make sure your official tax invoice is accurate, please provide your correct billing details and VAT number (if applicable) when ordering.
- Ownership: The container remains the property of Core Trading Enterprise until we have received your full payment in our bank account.
3. Delivery and Getting Your Site Ready
- Preparing Your Space: You are responsible for making sure the delivery site is accessible, flat, and firm enough to handle the heavy weight of both the delivery truck (which often uses a heavy crane/hiab) and the container itself.
- Checking the Site First: We might ask you for site photos, GPS coordinates, or details about overhead obstacles like power lines and trees so our drivers can plan a safe drop-off.
- Delivery Partners: We partner with trusted, professional trucking and crane companies. Because we facilitate this through third parties, we cannot be held responsible for unexpected delays caused by traffic, weather, or logistics hiccups.
- If Delivery Fails: If a delivery cannot be completed because the site isn’t ready, or if no one is there to receive it, you will be responsible for the cost of the failed delivery attempt and the subsequent redelivery fee.
4. Container Conditions and Responsibility
- Choosing Your Grade: Containers come in different conditions (like Brand New/One-Way, Cargo Worthy, or Wind & Watertight). Please make sure you select the grade that best fits your needs.
- What We Can’t Cover: We cannot take responsibility for damage caused by:
- Poor site preparation or shifting ground.
- Overloading or misusing the container.
- Modifications or repairs made by you or a third party after delivery.
- Safety on Site: While we take every precaution, Core Trading Enterprise cannot be held liable for any injury or property damage that occurs on your site during the delivery and offloading process.
5. Protecting Your Privacy
- Your Data: We only collect your contact details, delivery address, and financial information to process your order, organize delivery, and keep our books straight.
- Sharing Responsibly: We only share your information with essential partners who help get the job done (like our delivery drivers and payment processors). We will never sell, rent, or trade your data.
- Security: We use industry-standard security measures to keep your personal information safe and secure.
6. Returns and Refunds
- Standard Containers: If you change your mind about a standard, unmodified container, returns are subject to a restocking fee and must be requested within our standard return window.
- Custom & Modified Containers: Because custom containers are tailored specifically to your needs, we cannot offer refunds once we start modifying or building them, unless there is a major structural defect.
- Inspection on Arrival: Please inspect your container as soon as it arrives. You will need to sign a Delivery Note to confirm it arrived safely. If you notice any issues, please write them down on the delivery paperwork immediately.
